After a successful two weeks exhibiting at the Conservative and Labour party conferences, we saw a high level of engagement with senior politicians and related stakeholders across the political spectrum.
Our stands welcomed key figures keen to learn more about our vision for decarbonising the Solent region and the opportunity it presents to make a significant contribution to the UK’s Net Zero ambitions.
We were able to discuss our plans and have meaningful conversations with influential figures such as Claire Coutinho, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, and Ed Miliband, Shadow Secretary of State, along with several other ministers and shadow ministers, local MPs, prospective parliamentary candidates, and council leaders.
Throughout the conferences the Cluster’s representatives were invited to participate in roundtable policy discussions and panel sessions, where we underscored the substantial investment and employment opportunities we want to realise, as well as emphasise the government support required to transform these prospects into reality. The Cluster’s regional significance was also highlighted with coverage by BBC’s South Today.
Below is a few of the images captured from both events.
