On 27 January 2023, three members of The Solent Cluster were invited to Fawley Petrochemical Complex to explore future solutions to decarbonise the Solent region and beyond.
For more than 70 years, Fawley Petrochemical Complex has been evolving its products to meet new challenges and opportunities and will continue to do so to help deliver a cleaner energy future.
The collaborative discussion included Southampton City Council’s Labour Leader, Satvir Kaur, and Labour MP for Southampton Test, Alan Whitehead, as well as Cluster members ExxonMobil and the University of Southampton.
The Solent Cluster, which was established in 2022, represents a once in a generation opportunity for communities, the region, and the UK and can affect real change in energy production and consumption.
